“I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was” Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s Home for peculiar Children
The reason this blog of sorts exists is not to tell people how to live, where to go, what to do, but rather a medium to share and laugh about the peculiar circumstances one finds themselves in when embarking upon a life in the city. The aim is to offer a few chuckles and insights as we at The Urban Otter explore some of the finer things London has to offer, and the not so glamorous although equally entertaining. We should note we plan on telling the truth, and sometimes perhaps a little too much of the truth, whether that be complimentary or quite utterly absurd and possibly questionable (we’ve found ourselves in too many of those situations for comfort!). So brace yourselves for ‘Our little adventures’.
Spontaneous thoughts and actions are the best, so we thought we’d give way to our childish sense of curiosity (see what we did there?! Everything goes in circles) and let this feed run wherever it takes us.
Of course to explore London we will need a Londoner. And as some of life’s tales can get particularly interesting we’d rather not tarnish any reputations and change the course of history…so let’s call our protagonist Jonathan. Why Jonathan I am not too sure but I’m sure you will all recognise him.
So, if you’re reading this while you commute, grab yourself a freshly brewed latte, or if it’s been a hard week then grab that well deserved ‘something a little stronger’ (we won’t judge you, well maybe a little) and let’s see what trouble Jonathan stumbles across. Enjoy our little adventures.
